Salvation belongeth unto the Lord.

Salvation belongeth unto the Lord. Thy blessing is upon Thy people. Selah (Psalm 3:8)

 The fact that salvation belongs to the Lord is a powerful truth that we all need to never forget. It is so powerful that it was one of the keys in Jonah's prayer that convinced God to raise him from the dead.

 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation S! of the Lord. And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. (Jonah 2:9-10)

 We are SO accustomed to making first impressions and judging people based on outward appearances. God does not do that. He looks at the hearts. He does not want any to perish and as a result He makes choices that you and I would not make.

 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; (1 Corinthians 1:26-27)

 Would you have chosen Moses who was a stutterer and murderer? Would you have chosen a young shepherd boy named David to be a King? Would you have chosen a Samaritan woman that had been divorced five times to start a revival? Would you have chosen a Pharisee named Paul that persecuted followers of Jesus to reach the Gentiles? More than that, would you have chosen you???

We just need to remember that we are just messengers. We are not God, and we are not the choosers. We don't have the authority to exclude anyone from the Kingdom of God based on any kind of outward appearance or whether or not we think that person is worthy. When we do that we become a candidate for the belly of the whale like Jonah. We get sidelined (like Jonah) until we can come back to God, humble ourselves, and say, salvation belongs to you. A great example of how to do this thing right is Ananias in the Book of Acts. We can all learn a lot from Ananias who did just the opposite of Jonah, And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Ther Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For 1 will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. (Acts 9:10-18)

 弟兄们哪，可见你们蒙召的，按着肉体有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，有尊贵的也不多。神却拣选了世上愚拙的，叫有智慧的羞愧；又拣选了世上软弱的，叫那强壮的羞愧。（哥林多前书 1:26-27）

你会选择口吃和杀人犯摩西吗？你会选择一个名叫大卫的年轻牧童做国王吗？你会选择一个离过五次婚的撒玛利亚女人来发起复兴吗？你会选择一个迫害耶稣信徒的名叫保罗的法利赛人来接触外邦人吗？不仅如此，你会选择你自己吗？？？

我们只需要记住，我们只是信使。我们不是上帝，我们不是选择者。 我们没有权力根据任何外表或我们认为某人是否值得而将任何人排除在神的国度之外。当我们这样做时，我们就会像约拿一样成为鲸鱼腹中的候选人。我们被边缘化（像约拿一样），直到我们能够回到神面前，谦卑自己，说，救恩属于你。使徒行传中的亚拿尼亚是一个很好的例子，说明了如何正确做这件事。我们都可以从亚拿尼亚身上学到很多东西，他所做的与约拿正好相反，大马士革有一个门徒，名叫亚拿尼亚。主在异象中对他说，亚拿尼亚。他说，看哪，主，我在这里。主对他说，起来，往那条名叫直街的街去，在犹大的家里，访问一个大数人名叫扫罗。他祷告，又在异象中看见一个人，名叫亚拿尼亚，进来按手在他身上，叫他能看见。 亚拿尼亚回答说：“主啊，我听见许多人说，这人怎样在耶路撒冷多多苦害你的圣徒。并且他在这里有从祭司长得来的权柄，要捆绑一切求告你名的人。主却对他说：“你去吧！他是我所拣选的器皿，要在外邦人和君王并以色列人面前宣扬我的名。我要指示他，为我的名必须受许多的苦难。”亚拿尼亚就去，进了家，按手在他身上，说：“兄弟扫罗，在你来的路上向你显现的主，就是耶稣，打发我来，叫你能看见，又被圣灵充满。”扫罗的眼睛上好像有鳞立刻掉下来，他立刻就能看见，便起来受了洗。（使徒行传 9:10-18）

 Le fait que le salut appartient à l'Éternel est une vérité puissante que nous ne devons jamais oublier. Elle est si puissante qu'elle a été l'une des clés de la prière de Jonas qui a convaincu Dieu de le ressusciter d'entre les morts.

  Mais je t'offrirai un sacrifice avec une voix de reconnaissance, j'accomplirai mon vœu. Salut S! de l'Éternel. L'Éternel parla au poisson, et il vomit Jonas sur la terre ferme. (Jonas 2:9-10)

 Nous sommes tellement habitués à faire des premières impressions et à juger les gens en fonction des apparences extérieures. Dieu ne fait pas cela. Il regarde les cœurs. Il ne veut pas qu'aucun périsse et, par conséquent, Il fait des choix que vous et moi ne ferions pas.

  Car voyez, frères, parmi vous qui avez été appelés, il n'y a ni beaucoup de sages selon la chair, ni beaucoup de puissants, ni beaucoup de nobles. Mais Dieu a choisi les choses folles du monde pour confondre les sages, et Dieu a choisi les choses faibles du monde pour confondre les fortes, (1 Corinthiens 1:26-27)

 Auriez-vous choisi Moïse, qui était un bègue et un meurtrier ? Auriez-vous choisi un jeune berger nommé David pour être roi ? Auriez-vous choisi une femme samaritaine qui avait été divorcée cinq fois pour lancer un réveil ? Auriez-vous choisi un pharisien nommé Paul qui a persécuté les disciples de Jésus pour atteindre les Gentils ? Plus que cela, vous seriez-vous choisis vous-même ???

Nous devons simplement nous rappeler que nous ne sommes que des messagers. Nous ne sommes pas Dieu, et nous ne sommes pas ceux qui choisissent. Nous n'avons pas l'autorité d'exclure quiconque du Royaume de Dieu en fonction de toute apparence extérieure ou du fait que nous pensons que cette personne en est digne ou non. Quand nous faisons cela, nous devenons des candidats au ventre de la baleine comme Jonas. Nous sommes mis à l’écart (comme Jonas) jusqu’à ce que nous puissions revenir à Dieu, nous humilier et dire : le salut vous appartient. Ananias, dans le livre des Actes, est un excellent exemple de la façon de faire cela correctement. Nous pouvons tous apprendre beaucoup d’Ananias qui a fait exactement le contraire de Jonas : « Or, il y avait à Damas un disciple nommé Ananias. Le Seigneur lui dit dans une vision : Ananias. » Il répondit : « Me voici, Seigneur. » Le Seigneur lui dit : « Lève-toi, va dans la rue appelée la Droite, et cherche dans la maison de Judas un nommé Saul, de Tarse. Car voici, il prie. Et il a vu dans une vision un homme nommé Ananias qui entrait et imposait les mains sur lui pour qu’il recouvre la vue. » Ananias répondit: Seigneur, j'ai entendu dire à plusieurs personnes tous les maux qu'il a faits à tes saints à Jérusalem. Or il a ici le pouvoir, de la part des principaux sacrificateurs, de lier tous ceux qui invoquent ton nom. Mais le Seigneur lui dit: Va, car cet homme est un instrument que j'ai choisi pour porter mon nom devant les nations, devant les rois, et devant les enfants d'Israël. Je lui montrerai tout ce qu'il doit souffrir pour mon nom. Ananias s'en alla, entra dans la maison, imposa les mains à Jésus et dit: Saul, mon frère, le Seigneur Jésus, qui t'est apparu sur le chemin par lequel tu venais, m'a envoyé pour que tu recouvres la vue et que tu sois rempli du Saint-Esprit. Aussitôt des écailles tombèrent de ses yeux; il recouvra la vue à l'instant, se leva, et fut baptisé. (Actes 9:10-18)
