Synopsis :

This is a recording of Lessons 10 to 19 in the Dial for Mandarin Series Three. It features words, phrases and dialogues in Mandarin with their English translations. The contents of each lesson are as follows:

Lesson 10 is based on the theme 'Hari Raya Puasa' and features the following words and phrases in Mandarin: 'sell curry puffs', 'plying one's trade', 'Muslims', 'pray', 'prepared or made with one's own hands', 'satay', 'greedy', 'extend greetings to them' and 'dialogue'.

Lesson 11 based on the theme 'Looking for a Room' features the following words and phrases in Mandarin: 'room', 'to let', 'mistaken', 'bachelor', 'a newly-wed couple', 'a decent job', 'to leave early in the morning and return late at night', 'rent', 'other terms' and 'discuss something with somebody face to face'.
