Welcome to your Faith And Inspired Action

Welcome to your Faith And Inspired Action

When you’re faced with a difficult situation in which you’re unsure of the right path forward or when going through an anxious period in your life where a lot is at stake - which of the following are you most likely to do?

Answer this question on reflex… Would you be comfortable with someone telling you that they believe you are very talented (creative/logical/witty/sensitive/whatever you are!) and they want to pay you $500,000 per year to work for them simply using that talent?

When you think about actually living your ideal lifestyle and achieving your goals, how realistic do you feel you are being?

'The Law of Attraction allows you to have, do or be anything you want'. How does that statement make you feel?

Regardless of your current job, do you feel that you know what your own unique talents are?

You have reached the end of this quiz.

Faith And Inspired Action

Here are your results for Faith And Inspired Action.

Your score of 25 in this category shows a high degree of inner faith. You have a belief in the existence of some greater power to help you through this lifetime.

It’s always good to feel that we are not here by chance or the result of some big bang theory. There’s a serenity and assurance that comes from believing in a higher power.

Many times, even when we have a very strong faith, that faith can get tested to the limit. At those times we may question if there is really any rhyme or reason to this universe.

Of course, the events and circumstances that play out in our lives don’t always have a clear meaning to us at the time. Perhaps we are single-mindedly focused on achieving something. It feels right and inspired, then, at the last minute catastrophe strikes and all is lost.

We feel dejected and forsaken.

Why does this happen?

It may be years later that we see why it was better that this change of direction was forced upon us.

In my teachings I share how we block ourselves through counter intentions which I go into great depth in my specific books and courses, which you will find at the end of this section in “Your Customized Suggestions.”

Real faith is about accepting whatever comes our way as being the right thing for us at that time. Even when it wasn’t what we were expecting or asking for.

This humorous story illustrates how our own idea of divine assistance can often blind us to what’s really being offered by the universe….

A preacher was caught in a flood, and a man in a canoe offered to evacuate him. "No, I put my faith in the Lord to save me," he said. After being forced to the roof of his porch, another man in a speedboat offered assistance. "No, I put my faith in the Lord to save me," he again responded. Eventually forced to the highest point of his chimney, a Coast Guard helicopter attempted rescue but was turned away in the same manner.

The preacher drowned and went before the Lord. "I had Faith, so why didn't you save me?" he asked. "What do you mean?" the Lord replied. "I sent you two boats and a helicopter!!"

So, having faith can sometimes mean really letting go – letting go of our attachment to specific outcomes or material things in our life. Safe in the knowledge that our request will be taken care of in the best possible way, at the best time and with the best outcome for us.

The letting go part is something that takes practice; in many ways it goes against our ‘human nature.’ But that’s ok – because we know our human existence is limited and transient. Accepting our limited human ability to comprehend the infinite nature of the universe is the first step to letting go.

Hand over your needs and desires to the higher you – the part that is one with the infinite universe. In doing so, you tap into your immortal nature and your ability to create your own destiny.

You may or may not have heard of a famous text called A Course in Miracles (ACIM).

This course is something of a phenomenon which has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. It was written down by a woman named Helen Schucman who, in 1965, heard a voice say "This is a Course in Miracles, please take notes."

It’s not something that can be easily synopsized, but here are a few of its concepts:

In order to remember God, (in order to return to Him) we must engage in the practice of loving one another, no one excluded (for God's love has no exceptions). Only by loving totally can we know the total love that is God. The effect of this practice is to bring our thinking back into accord with how God created us to think.

It teaches that, as we give, we will receive to the same measure. If we reject one person, we will believe God has rejected us. If we give unconditional love, we will know we are loved unconditionally.

And so forth…

There are 365 lessons of very heavy going material, ultimately saying atonement is the goal – or the return to ‘At-One-Ment’ between Creator and Creation.

When it comes to teaching how to ‘let go,’ ACIM goes right to the point. It begins with "Nothing that I see in this room means anything," … "Nothing that I see out there means anything" ... “This body doesn't mean anything” ... “That car for which I worked so hard for doesn't mean anything” ... “That house which I'm still paying mortgage for doesn't mean anything” ...

It's not that these things are meaningless, but in order to perceive their true meaning, we have to be willing to ’let go’ of our current perception and allow ourselves to look at the world in a different way.

Faith is not about hoping some higher power ‘out there’ will help us. It is finding our oneness with that higher power. The Faith we must have, is Faith in ourselves.

What's your next step?
