IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT SAYING NICE THINGS.
Faith confession is not some self-help mantra or Christian version of positive thinking. It's not wishful talking. It's not psychological pep talk.
FAITH CONFESSION IS NOT SOME SELF-HELP MANTRA OR CHRISTIAN VERSION OF POSITIVE THINKING. IT'S NOT WISHFUL TALKING. IT'S NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL PEP TALK.
AND IT'S NOT A FORMULA TO GET GOD TO DO WHAT YOU WANT. And it's not a formula to get God to do what you want.
According to scripture and according to revelation knowledge, it is actually how spiritual reality is released into your natural life.
IT'S ACTUALLY HOW SPIRITUAL REALITY IS RELEASED INTO YOUR NATURAL LIFE.
And if you don't understand this, you could spend your whole life praying hard, trying harder, and still never walk in what God has already given you. But once you do understand it, everything changes.
AND IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS, YOU COULD SPEND YOUR WHOLE LIFE PRAYING HARD, TRYING HARDER, AND STILL NEVER WALK IN WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN YOU. BUT ONCE YOU DO UNDERSTAND IT, EVERYTHING CHANGES.
You'll stop begging God for things he already said "yes" to. You'll stop speaking like a victim, and you'll start living from your true spiritual authority.
YOU'LL STOP BEGGING GOD FOR THINGS HE ALREADY SAID "YES" TO. YOU'LL STOP SPEAKING LIKE A VICTIM AND YOU'LL START LIVING FROM YOUR TRUE SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY.
So, right now, I'm going to show you what most churches won't tell you about faith confession.
SO, RIGHT NOW, I'M GONNA SHOW YOU WHAT MOST CHURCHES WON'T TELL YOU ABOUT FAITH CONFESSION.
Not because they're hiding it, but because they've either forgotten it, misunderstood it, or replaced it with tradition.
NOT BECAUSE THEY'RE HIDING IT, BUT BECAUSE THEY'VE EITHER FORGOTTEN IT, MISUNDERSTOOD IT, OR REPLACED IT WITH TRADITION .
I want you to stick around to the end because l'm not just giving you theology. I'm giving you revelation that produces transformation.
I WANT YOU TO STICK AROUND TO THE END BECAUSE I'M NOT JUST GIVING YOU THEOLOGY. I'M GIVING YOU REVELATION THAT PRODUCES TRANSFORMATION.
And if you apply this, you'll never look at your words or your faith the same way again.
YOU'LL NEVER LOOK AT YOUR WORDS OR YOUR FAITH THE SAME WAY AGAIN.
Let's start with what most people think confession is.
LET'S START WITH WHAT MOST PEOPLE THINK CONFESSION IS.
In a lot of Christian circles, confession simply means admitting sin. You confess your faults, you confess your failures.
IN A LOT OF CHRISTIAN CIRCLES, CONFESSION SIMPLY MEANS ADMITTING SIN. YOU CONFESS YOUR FAULTS , YOU CONFESS YOUR FAILURES.
And yes, the Bible says that when we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us.
AND YES, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT WHEN WE CONFESS OUR SINS, GOD IS FAITHFUL TO FORGIVE US.
But ,that's just one small part of the bigger picture. In the Greek, the word confess is homologio, which literally means to say the same thing.
BUT THAT'S JUST ONE SMALL PART OF THE BIGGER PICTURE. IN THE GREEK, THE WORD CONFESSED IS HOMOLOGIO , WHICH LITERALLY MEANS TO SAY THE SAME THING.
It means agreeing with something. So when you confess your sins, you're agreeing with God that it was wrong.
IT MEANS AGREEING WITH SOMETHING. SO WHEN YOU CONFESS YOUR SINS, YOU'RE AGREEING WITH GOD THAT IT WAS WRONG.
But when you confess God's promises, you're agreeing with him that they are rightfully yours.
BUT WHEN YOU CONFESS GOD'S PROMISES, YOU'RE AGREEING WITH HIM THAT THEY ARE RIGHTFULLY YOURS.
And this is where most churches stop short.
AND THIS IS WHERE MOST CHURCHES STOP SHORT.
