THE SECRET TO SPENDING MORE TIME WITH GOD
Let me warns us about a spiritual disease. It is called the empty closet.
Do you know that behind many an outstanding Christian's public profession there is an empty closet. This is the person who looks powerful on the platform or sounds holy in the church pew but in private they are a stranger to God.
An empty closet is the reason for sin consciousness. When you do not spend time in His Presence, you start to see yourself through the eyes of the world.
You see your flaws, your past, and your limitations. But in the secret place, the Father reminds you of who you are in Christ. He reminds you that you are the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
He reminds you that you are a joint heir. The secret place is where your identity is reinforced. Without that daily reinforcement, you will eventually crumble. You will try to use the name of Jesus Christ, but it won't have any snap to it.
You will try to stand on a promise, but your heart won't believe it. Why?
Because the Word only has power when it is living, and it only becomes living when it is breathed on by the Spirit in the secret place.
For many people, the prayer room is unused. It is covered in the dust of busyiness. We have time for everything else. We have time for social media. We have time for the news. We have time for work. But we have no time for the One who gave us the time. This is a legal tragedy.
You are a king who refuses to go to his own treasury. You are an ambassador who refuses to check in with his home government.
An empty closet is a sign that you have forgotten your legal rights. It is a sign that you have let the world's noise drown out the Father's voice.
So how do we practically access these resources? The secret place is for three things. Meditation, prayer, and study of the Word.
Let's talk about meditation. In the religious world, meditation is seen as emptying your mind. But in the revelation, meditation is filling your mind with the legal facts of the Word.
In the hidden man of the heart, meditation is the digestive system of the spirit. It is taking a verse like by his stripes I am healed. 1 Peter 2:24. And sitting with it in the secret place until it becomes more real than the pain in your body.
Meditation is like the digestive system of the spirit.
You can read the Word all day, but if you don't meditate on it, you aren't digesting the resources. You aren't turning the ink on the page into Zoe life in your spirit.
When you go into your closet, take one legal truth with you. Do not rush.
Don't look at your watch. This is a secret.
Sit with that truth. Say it out loud to the Father.
🗣️: Father, your Word says l am a new creation. It says the old things are passed away. I thank you for that. I'm acting on that now.
In that quiet moment, something happens. The secret resources of that verse begin to transfer into your account. The peace of that verse begins to settle in your mind. The authority of that verse begins to fortify your spirit. You are transacting business. You are moving resources from the heavenly ledger into your physical reality.
This meditation is not a mental exercise. It is a spiritual infusion. It is how you eat the Word until it becomes part of your very nature. The heart hunger of the Father.
We often think of prayer as us being hungry for God. But flips the script. The revelation is that Father God is hungry for us. The Father's heart is hungry for the companionship of His children.
This is the most relatable and practical part of the secret place. Let me show you what this looks like.
Imagine a father who has built a massive business, a great inheritance, and a beautiful home for his children. But the children are so busy playing with the toys he bought them that they never sit down to talk to him.
That is how many Christians treat God. They want the toys of the kingdom, the healing, the money, the success, but they have no interest in the Father.
The secret place is where you stop being a consumer of God and start being a companion to God.
When you enter the secret place, you are saying, 🗣️ "Father, I'm not here for a cheque today. I'm not here for a miracle. I'm just here because I love you. I'm here because I want to know your heart."
When you prioritize the Father's heart hunger, your own needs begin to diminish. You realize that if you have HIM, you have everything.
The secret resources of heaven are not unlocked by a key of begging. They are unlocked by a 15:28 key of intimacy. The father trusts his companions with his resources. He gives the keys to the treasury to the children who actually want to spend time in the house. This intimacy is the sacred privilege one speaks of. It is the ability to walk into the holy of holies and sit down as a son, not a servant.
Why your soul is starving?
The soul has its own metabolism. Just as your body needs food to perform work, your spirit needs the nourishment of the secret place to perform miracles.
If you are feeling weak, if you are easily angered, if you are full of fear, it is because your spirit is starving.
You cannot nourish your spirit on yesterday's bread. You cannot live today on the revelation you had 5 years ago.
The resources of heaven are fresh every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23.
When you skip the secret place, you are trying to fight a spiritual war while being spiritually malnourished.
The devil loves a starving Christian. He knows that a starving man is easy to tempt. A starving man is easy to discourage. But a man who has just come from the Father's table is dangerous. He is full of Zoe. He is full of light. He is too satisfied in God to be tempted by the husks of the world.
Your spirit is the hidden man of the heart. It is the part of you that possesses the legal right to dominate circumstances.
But a starving spirit has no grip on the Word. You might know the verse intellectually, but if your spirit is weak, that verse won't produce life.
The secret place is the gymnasium of the spirit. It is where you build the muscle of faith.
Without this daily feeding, your public profession becomes a hollow shell. You are trying to live on the crumbs of other people's sermons.
When the Father has a full banquet waiting for you in secret, silencing the noise of the soul.
The greatest enemy of the secret place is noise. Not just outside noise, but inside noise. The noise of your worries, the noise of your to-do list, the noise of your smartphones. This advice is more relevant now than ever.
"We must learn to quiet the soul." Most of us go into prayer time and our minds are racing. We are talking at God, but we aren't listening with HIM.
Try this tonight.
Go into your secret place and for the first 5 minutes, don't say a word. Just be in His Presence.
Remind yourself, he is here. He loves me. He is hungry for my company.
This quiets the soul. This stops the begging mentality.
When the soul is quiet, you can hear the still small voice that gives you the strategy for your life. First Kings 19:12.
The secret resources you need are often found in a single word from the spirit.
One Word from the Father in the secret place can solve a problem that 10 years of hard work couldn't fix.
But you'lI never hear that word if your closet is full of noise.
Quietness is not a lack of activity. It is the Presence of authority. It is the posture of a king who is listening to his supreme commander.
In the secret place, the confusion of the world is replaced by the clarity of the Spirit.
You walk out with a knowing that cannot be shaken by the news or the opinions of men.
The infusion of life.
When you quiet the noise, the infusion begins. This can be described as the vital union.
It is where the life of God flows into your spirit like electricity conduct through a wire. You aren't just thinking about God, you are being energized by HIM. You are thinking with your Father. This is how you recharge your spiritual battery.
If you are feeling burned out in your ministry or your life, it is a sign that you have a vital leak.
You are spending more than you are receiving.
The secret place is the only place where the leak is repaired.
It is where the father pours his ability into your inability. 2 Corinthians 12:9.
He does not just give you a helper, he becomes your strength. This infusion is what makes you outstanding. It is what gives your voice the snap of authority.
It is the difference between a religious man and a new creation. One has information, the other has infusion. One knows the book, the other knows the Author.
And in the secret place, the Author signs His name over your life.
The fragrance of the secret place. When you emerge from the secret place, something has changed.
You do not just have information, you have infusion.
You have been infused with the life of God.
A heavenly fragrance.
When one has been with Jesus Christ, there is a fragrance about them.
Think about Moses coming down from the mountain. Exodus 34:29-30.
His face shone so brightly that people couldn't look at him. He didn't know his face was shining. He wasn't trying to glow. It was just the natural result of being in Father Presence.

³⁰ When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.]
When you spend time in the secret place, you carry a glow into your business meetings. You carry a glow into your home. You carry a glow into the hospital room.
This is not a physical light. It's a spiritual authority. It is the secret resource of peace.
In a world that is losing its mind, your peace is a resource.
In a world that is full of hate, your love is a resource.
People will ask, "How can you be so calm? How did you know what to do?"
And the answer is you were at the secret place.
You were at the treasury. You were drawing on resources that are not tied to the economy or the government or your own strength.
This fragrance is the secret of victory.
It is the quiet confidence that your Father is backing you. You no longer have to push and shove for your rights in the world because you have already secured your rights in the secret place.
This fragrance is the aroma of Christ that apostle Paul spoke of. It is a scent of life to those who are seeking and a scent of defeat to the powers of darkness. The legal responsibility of knowledge.
One ends in His Presence with a sobering thought.
You know too much now not to act upon this knowledge.
Knowledge brings responsibility.
If you know the secret place exists and you know the resources are there but you still live as a spiritual beggar. That is a tragedy.
You cannot blame God for your lack of power if your closet is empty.
You cannot blame the devil for your defeat if you refuse to go to the secret place for your armor.
The secret place is the solution to the prayer problem because it removes the maybe from your life.
You do not have to wonder if God will help you. You have already met with HIM. You have already seen His Face. You have already handled the Word of Life. First John 1:1.
This knowledge gives you a steel in your spirit. It makes you unshakable. You are no longer a seeker of truth. You are a possessor of truth.
This is the legal responsibility placed on us to take this revelation and move from the closet to the battlefield with absolute certainty.
The secret of public dominion.
A preacher was once asked why his ministry was so effective. He didn't point to his education or his speaking ability.
He pointed to his secret place.
He said that a man's public dominion is exactly equal to his private fellowship.
If you want to rule over sickness in your family, you must first be ruled by the Father in secret.
If you want to have dominion over lack, you must first be filled with the abundance of His Presence in private.
Public dominion is just the shadow of private fellowship.
Most of the church is chasing the shadow.
They want the authority without the intimacy. But it does not work that way.
The resources of the kingdom are guarded by the requirement of fellowship.
God does not give His power to hired hands. He gives it to his friends. John 15:15.
Friends are those who have spent time in the secret place.
Friends are those who know the Father's heart, not just His hand.
When you step out into the world, your dominion is the legal expression of the fellowship you enjoyed in secret.
You are not trying to be powerful. You are simply being who you were made to be in His Presence, rebuilding the unused closet.
Perhaps you are agreeing to this and you feel a sting in your heart.
You realize your closet is empty.
You realize you haven't had a tryst with the Father in months. You've been living on the crumbs of other people's revelations. (tryst is a prearranged meeting or assignation, now especially between lovers to meet at a specific place and time)
Do not let the accuser use this to bring guilt. Guilt is just more noise.
Our Father is not mad at you. He is hungry for you. He is not waiting to scold you for your absence. He is waiting to welcome you back to the table.
Tonight, go back to the closet.
Do not make it a duty. Make it a delight.
You are not going there to do your chores. You are going there to meet your Father.
You are going there to get your uniform back on.
You are going there to access the resources that Jesus Christ died to give you.
Start small. Give HIM 15 minutes of undivided phone-free quiet attention.
Open in His Presence or open your Bible to the book of John.
Read a few verses. Meditate. Talk to HIM as a son talks to a father.
As you do this, the dust will start to clear.
The attorney of power will start to feel real again. The secret resources will start to flow.
You will find that you do not have to try to have faith. Faith is the natural atmosphere of the secret place.
The secret place is not a religious tradition. It is the secret of power.
It is where the new creation is built.
It is where the world is overcome.
If you are ready to stop living on empty and start accessing your secret resources, I want you to make a commitment right now. Don't just watch. Act on it.
🗣️: My closet is no longer empty. I am entering the secret place.
You are making a decree to yourself and to the Father. You are announcing that you are moving back into the place of power. You believe that fellowship with Father is the key to authority.
They are the road map for the new creation. Tonight, the door is open. The Father is waiting. The resources are ready. Go into your closet and watch what happens in your world tomorrow. Stay in the mirror of the Word. Let the Word do the work. God bless you.
