Priez en tout lieu, en élevant des mains pures, sans colère ni doute. Professez la piété par de bonnes œuvres. Femmes, habillez-vous modestement, avec pudeur et sobriété. Le mot pudeur vient du grec ἀντροπαλός (entropalós), qui signifie « baisser les yeux ». Cela signifie qu’elle ne doit pas avoir un regard séducteur. Elle doit être sobre. Elle ne doit pas se parer de tresses, d’or, de perles ni de vêtements coûteux. Que la femme apprenne en silence et en toute soumission. Qu'elle n'enseigne pas, qu'elle ne prenne pas l'autorité sur l'homme ; qu'elle demeure silencieuse. Car Adam fut formé le premier, après Ève. Et Adam ne fut pas séduit par le diable, mais la femme, séduite par le diable par le serpent, tomba dans la transgression. Persévérez dans la foi, la charité et la sainteté, avec sobriété.
Soyez irréprochables.
Soyez vigilants.
Soyez sobres.
Ayez une bonne conduite.
Soyez hospitaliers.

Dan kasih karunia Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus sangat melimpah dengan iman dan kasih yang ada di dalam Kristus Yesus; layak diterima sepenuhnya, bahwa Kristus Yesus datang ke dunia ini untuk menyelamatkan orang berdosa.
