 If you first love God totally then you will love people

First, let us look at the simple overview or summary that Jesus gives of the Ten Commandments.

Basically, learn to love God first and then that will enable you to love mankind.

You can only genuinely love people if you can make them understand God's written Word.

If we cannot love the people who disagree with us it merely proves that we never learned to love God first.

Only God can love everyone.

MATTHEW 22:37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."

:38 "This is the first and great commandment."

:39 "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

:40 "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

The Ten Commandments are brilliantly summed up.

We must first love God so that we can also learn how to love mankind and guide them towards the Truth.

Remember that each individual that interacts with you, knowingly or unknowingly, is playing a part in God’s great Plan for your life.

ROMANS 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

God calls us to fulfill His purpose, not our own ambitions.

Everything your enemies do or did to you is and was for your good. They are like a surgeon’s knife.

The temporary pain fades after a while and healing follows.

"Love your enemies" because they helped you get stronger.

Opposing their errors enabled you to get a better grasp of the truth. Iron sharpens iron.

We have to learn that action produces a reaction.

A gentler action produces a gentler reaction which leads to less conflict.

We must believe in God’s Will and purpose in our lives, not our own will.

Your enemies only opposed and harmed your own selfish will. God used them to cut off some of your bad points.

So, love God totally and let Him operate on your life using your daily hardships, sorrows, and difficulties. You will emerge stronger and better able to serve God by helping people find truth rather than bragging about yourself.

Each church age had different hardships and errors to face.

Christ, as God, is the only Head of the church. The true church is His Body.

Thus, the first 3 Commandments explain Who God is.

The last 7 Commandments deal with mankind in the 7 church ages as Jesus pulls out His Body, the true church.

Only in the last church age would we be able to understand the deep mysteries of Scripture.

Thus, Jesus looked at topics and events from the viewpoint of the last church age.
