Wafa Younis, 50, conductor of the 13-member Palestinian orchestra Strings of Freedom
in Jenin, has been barred from returning to her home, and her orchestra has been shut down, for performing for 30 Holocaust survivors at the Holocaust Survivors' Center near Tel Aviv on "Good Deeds Day." The concert by the musicians , aged 11 to 18, was condemned by Palestinian leaders as "political" and a "dangerous matter" as it could lead to "normalization with Israel."
