Face FaceBook Friends

in WorldWide Web? is like ...

Your real friend introduce strangers to you so enriching/endangering your horizon in living. When we first meet a person, virtually, we want to know not only where that person lives and what s/he does, but also wher s/he comes from -her/his hometown, place of birth, birth-date, family background, education, occupation, etc.

Just as a person's initial appearance can deceive or mislead us, so can pictures, photos, videos , or words. You might guess. And when we realize that scandal once denoted a trap, we have a bit more sympathy for a Hollywood/Bollywood/Zollywood/ real wood starlet ensnared by the tabloids or forum sites.

Or we might assume that bone up has something to do with working ourselves to the bone to learn something. But there's an even more delicious reason to uncover the stories behind words or "face"fried : sheer delight.

"Even the deadest word" was " once a brilliant picture." And most of these brilliant pictures /photos are amusing, charming ,and amazing. Limited only by your own imagination.

Cyber people are rel people, facebook frineds are real facing friends.

So, as you open this page-facebook, imagine yourself entering a roomful of intriguing new people and known people. As they introduce/produce themselves, you'll read and meet many fascinating characters - each with a unique and wondrous tale to tell. Admire each within it's own right and with your heart. Seek to understand prior commenting. Smile.

Face-Off, face-saving term is deadpan. A kitchen pan, with its round shape and skinny handle, resembles a human head, minus the eyes, nose, mouth, ears and hair, and neck, so it's no wonder pan came to mean face. Someone can resolved to be very "shut pan" about a matter, meaning s/he'd maintain a poker face.
(By the way, pan isn't the only association of kitchen items with the face: a person with an attractive mug is a dish with whom we want to spoon.)

It wasn't until the 1920s, however, that English first saw deadpan walking. The term was first associated only with acting, but then became pandemic.

"dead-pan comic's expression." The greatest deadpan-handler of all, of course (maybe), was the miserly Jack Benny.

Friends, let's enjoy and enrich all facebook friends while you can, for soon one by one will move on to paradise, leaving you here seeking ......
